Shaping The Leaders of Tomorrow Through the Gift of Learning

At Sona Welfare, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and lead a life of dignity.  Our mission is to bridge the educational gap in Pakistan by providing financial assistance and a platform for social development. Through carefully designed interventions, we are reaching the heart of interior communities, creating a brighter future for Pakistan.

Scholarship Program

SWF provides a wide array of scholarship opportunities for deserving students nationwide. Our goal is to promote higher education by supporting students who demonstrate merit, ambition, and a desire to serve their communities.

Sona Ward of Farmers (SWOF)

Launched in 2006, the Sona Ward of Farmers (SWOF) program supports the higher and post-matric education of children from farming families. These are the families who own less than 50 acres of land Each year, 67 scholarships are awarded with a special focus on students from FATA and Balochistan. By doing so, we aim to empower rural youth to pave their paths to brighter futures.

Merit Scholarship Scheme – Sadiqabad Area

Introduced in 2013, the Merit Scholarship Scheme provides 20 annual scholarships exclusively to deserving students from Rahim Yar Khan. This program targets students who excel academically but lack the financial means to continue their education, ensuring that local talent is nurtured and supported.

Student Sponsorship Program

Through partnerships with trusted non-profit organizations, SWF extends its impact even further. We also sponsor promising students for higher education in:
Al-Mujtaba Trust Collaboration Sponsorship of 36 higher education scholarships and 6 engineering diploma courses annually.
Cadet College Ghotki Initiative Each year, a minimum of 8 former students of Sona Welfare Society (SWS) with outstanding academic records are sponsored for advanced studies at Cadet College Ghotki, Mirpur Mathelo.

School Adoption Program

Our School Adoption Program provides holistic support to government schools in selected areas. Here, we aim to provide a nurturing and empowering learning environment for students. Currently active in Goth Machhi, Sadiqabad, the program has adopted five government schools, positively impacting the education of over 1,930 students. Through this initiative, we have appointed and trained teachers, supplied textbooks, stationery, and library facilities, as well as provided essential administrative and infrastructure support. Our aim is to enhance the quality of public education and inspire a lifelong love for learning in every child we reach.

Sona Public School & College (SPS&C)

Continuing with our mission to provide quality education to the underserved communities, Sona Public School & College (SPS&C) currently serves over 1,021 students in Mirpur Mathelo and surrounding areas of District Ghotki Among them, 500 students receive completely free education, while the remaining students benefit from a highly subsidized fee structure evaluated annually.
